Christmas Fair

Saturday 15th November at the Bouverie Hall, Pewsey

2013 proved to be hugely successful for us, culminating in the Christmas Fair at the Bouverie Hall in Pewsey. We had changed the venue and changed the day it was held, so there were some anxious moments.

But we needn’t have worried for the support we had from our very loyal local community was tremendous, resulting in the magnificent sum of £3,173 being raised.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and enjoyed the shopping extravaganza – that just leaves me to issue an invitation for you all to join us at the 2014 Christmas Fair on Saturday 15th November at the Bouverie Hall once again. Be sure to make a note on your calendar.

Curry Lunch – The Goa Balti

Sunday 13th October 2013, Goa Balti, Everleigh.

Once again it was the time of year for our Sunday Curry Lunch at The Goa Balti in Everleigh.

Thank you to each and every one of the 112 people who supported us again this year, it was so good to see lots of familiar faces and a few new ones as well. As always the food was superb, Hassan and his staff really do look after us extremely well.

Some very generous raffle prizes had been donated and I am sure the lucky winners went away extremely happy.

What a wonderful way to raise money for continued research into a cure for the many variations of Cancer – and this event raised the magnificent sum of £870. Well done and thank you.

‘Manic May’ Events

Bridge Day, 1st May at the Bouverie Hall, Pewsey

Our first event of the year on the 1st May, a Bridge Day at The Bouverie Hall in Pewsey, was a great success with 48 people making up 12 tables for play.

Lunch provided the opportunity to get to know some new people, before getting back to the afternoon session of play.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped us to raise a fantastic £908.

Coffee Morning, 11th May at Collingbourne Kingston Village Hall

The second of our manic May fundraising events was a Coffee Morning on the 11th May at Collingbourne Kingston Village Hall.

It proved to be extremely popular and raised the staggering sum of £1,094.

Our thanks go to everyone for turning up every time to support this charity and our fund raising efforts.

A special thank you also goes to Peter Bell, who donated all of the plants that were on sale. In fact the plant stall alone raised £530 of the total sum – what a fantastic effort.
